My goal as an artist is to be able to entertain people of all ages in a way that brings out their own creativity and imagination. Through bizarre, whimsical characters and environments, I want to make people excited about the power of illustration and storytelling. Artists and storytellers such as Don Wood, Shel Silverstein and Charles Chaplin are just a few people who inspired me as a child to create stories of my own through my art. If I can pay this forward in the work I create and inspire others, I feel like I will have truly succeeded as an artist.
A little about me:
Hey there! My name is Sarah Pagliaro, and I am an illustrator, Storyteller, and Graphic Designer.
If you’re looking for something whimsical, imaginative, or just plain spooky,
you’ve come to the right place!
I attended school at the Columbus College of Art and Design with a major in Illustration.
My Mediums include Digital Painting, Watercolor and Ink. The majority of my work is creating children’s book illustrations, graphics for apparel, and quirky label designs. However, I am always looking for the next challenge.
In my free time I enjoy working on my web-comic, Rizmo. I also enjoy going on hikes with my awesome husband and dog and occasional backpacking trips where I can enjoy nature for long periods of time. Aside from nature, I am very inspired by classic films in both the comedy and horror genre. My favorite come from the silent era where films depended on beautiful cinematography and exaggerated facial expressions. Like illustration, the stories are told through visuals rather than words alone.
